Nothing excites us more than when our community participates in deciding our road map’s direction. That is why we are thrilled to announce the results of the third round of token voting at SwissBorg.
A whopping 6928 Premium members cast their vote for the token they want listed next on the SwissBorg app. The big turnout in the middle of a bear market motivates and makes us proud. The number of voters was a little less than our previous one but more than in our 1st referendum with 4240 votes on the blockchain and our 1st Premium members token listing vote with 4921 app users voting.
What is new and exciting about this vote is that more community members could participate. With the addition of two new tiers including one that is much more affordable we opened the token voting rights to a much wider demographic of app users.
As before, the voting had a special feature to maintain the balance between the Premium tiers. As you can see in the chart below, Genesis Premium users were given a 5X vote multiplier, rewarding their level of commitment to the SwissBorg ecosystem and our token, the CHSB. Generation, Pioneer, Community and Explorer Premiums got 4X, 3X, 2X, and 1X multipliers respectively.
As expected, most of the voters (59.1%) came from our most popular Premium tier, the Community Premium and our oldest Premium tier, the Genesis Premium, that made up 22.2% of the vote.
As you can see from the chart, the overwhelming majority of Premium members, a whopping 3003 or 41% voted for Cardano’s ADA. Cardano is a proof-of-stake blockchain platform that aims to allow “changemakers, innovators and visionaries to bring about positive global change.” ADA is designed to allow holders to participate in the operation of the Cardano Network with smart contract functionality. Those who hold the popular crypto have the right to vote on any proposed changes to the software.
The second place in the token voting went to VeChain’s VET, a versatile enterprise-grade L1 smart contract platform, with 1616 or 23.3% of the total votes. Algorand’s ALGO came in third with 569 or 8.2% of the votes.
What is interesting to note, as with the previous token votes, there’s much agreement amongst the different tiers as you can see in the voter distribution chart. It seems that our community members, at least when it comes to token preference, share the same opinions and tastes regardless of their tier level.
That so many community members participated in the vote when the market mood is so bearish is a sign of the health of our ecosystem. We firmly believe in the swarm intelligence of our community; that is why we lend them a listening ear as we scale our company and our apps. Their choices in this round of voting indicate the SwissBorg community’s strong grasp of the market and the trends that guide it.
